Woodrush in lawns

This seems to be the year Woodrush is attacking lawns more often.

Field woodrush is a grass-like perennial. Its broad-bladed, dark green leaves, are fringed with long, silky hairs. Before it gets to the stage of flowering it can look like grass, so you may not notice it's even there.

This weed attacks acidic soils.  Reducing soil acidity is the main way to keep field woodrush in check.

Here at DSM Lawn Care Limited, we are putting plans in place to tackle this weed head on.
